Cynder at Port Macquarie Agility Trail
This weekend Cynder and I trailed at Port Macquarie Agility Trail both Saturday (19th May) and Sunday (20th May). So we were up early both days to see how well we could do. I must say Cynder was overall fantastic, switched on and we had so much fun! Our results:
Saturday:
Jumping Dog (JD): 1st place no quali (qualifier) one fault (missed one jump)
Agility Dog (AD): No quali, one fault (missed one jump)
Strategic Pairs Dog (SPD): 1st place 600 QUALI !! - with our partner Raina
Snooker Dog (SD): QUALI !!
Sunday:Agility Dog (AD): No quali, one fault (went in the wrong entrance on the tunnel)
Jumping Dog (JD): 1st place 600 QUALI !!
Saturday:

Cynder earns a Strategic Pairs Dog Qualification
Today (13th May) at the Cessnock Dog Club Cynder paired with Raina for Novice Strategic Pairs Dog and they earned a pass/quali!!!
This is Cynders first attempt at this and im very surprised and happy.

Finnish Lapphund Breed Lecture
On 8th May 2012 I flew out of NSW down to VIC to attend a breed lecture held by the Finnish Lapphund of VIC with Linda Marden from Sugarok Kennel (USA) as the lecturer.
I think it was worth leaving the warm NSW to the freezing and windy Melbourne to listen to a breeder of Linda's involvement with the breed. Linda has been in the breed nearly 3x longer then any of our current founding breeders here in Australia, as well as the fact that Linda has been to Europe and seen Lappie Specialties and seen the breed work with reindeers!

Kovu goes Runner Up in Group!!!
Kovu wins Runner Up Best In Group and Junior in Group under judge Miss A Meyn (NSW) and a 12pt Best of Breed at the Mackville Nambucca Show. The weather made the show ring a mush pit - soo much mud everywhere!

At the Stroud Show under judge Ms C Timms (NSW) - Kovu showed himself off in the class line-up and was awarded Junior In Group!! Unfortunately we didn't get a go in the General Specials and we missed out on getting a photo with the judge.

At the Wingham Show under judge Mr L Butler (NSW) - Kovu was a star earning a lovely 10 point Best of Breed against strong competition, followed by a Puppy in Group.

Newcastle All Breeds
11th March 2012
Our first agility trial for 2012 and its been 3months since we have trailed and with slim training due to weather - i think Cynder did very well today.
In Gamblers Cynder qauli and is now TITLED!! With only ever competing in 3 Gamblers trials she walked away each time with a quali - what a 'hat trick'!
We then gave JD a try but no luck this time.

Kovu goes Puppy In Group!!
At the Camden Haven PAH&I Society show Kovu won Best of Breed followed by a wonderful Puppy In Group!! Under judge Mrs H Beasley (NSW)
2011 Results for RAIVEN
Raiven completed 2011 with 35 show competitions in NSW, ACT and VIC - with amazing results!!
Through the DOL Point Score Competition Raiven placed:
1st NSW Best of Breed and
4th Nationally Best of Breed!!
Out of more then 30 Finnish Lapphunds competing.

Trip down to VIC 2011
We travelled down on the 28th October 2011 and stayed in the Daylesford region VIC.
On the Saturday 29th October i was entered in the Belgian Shepherd Specialty VIC under the judge Mrs P Stern Hanf (Belgium) and Cynder gained reserve Bitch Challenge and was graded Excellent!
On the Sunday 30th October at the Working Dog Club of VIC under judge Mr S. Dainard (Canada) Cynder gained reserve Bitch Challenge and RuBOB out of 9 Tervuerens.
In the Finnish Lapphunds there were 7 entered and Raiven took BOB and Kovu followed with RuBOB!
On Monday 31st October at the Victorian Womens Club under the judge Mr T Nesbitt (Canada) Cynder took BOB.
In the Finnish Lapphund there were 11 entered under judge Ms B Capstick (USA) and Raiven took Bitch Challenge and RuBOB while Kovu took reserve Dog Challenge.
Lastly on Tuesday 1st November at the big Sunbury Canine Show with large numbers, Kovu earned a Minor Puppy of Breed against his two sisters.

Dogs NSW Festival of Agility
3rd & 4th September 2011
Cynder did sooo well over the weekend!
To sum it up, on Saturday:
AD (Agility Dog) = we got 3rd place in 600 (NQ)
GD (Gamblers Dog) = we PASSED and earned our first ever agility quali!! this was the first time we have ever seen GD let alone trailed in it.
On Sunday:
SD (Snooker Dog) = we did really well considering it was our first ever - we finished with one fault.
JD (Jumping Dog) = we PASSED!! and earned 3rd place in 600!! This is our 1st JD quali!!
So over all we got 2 places and 2 passes!!

^ Our First Delta Therapy Dog ^
Very proud of our girl Storm who passed her exam to be a Delta Dog on 23rd July 2011.
Delta Dogs are allowed to visit nursing homes and hospitals as a social interaction for the old, ill and recovering kids or adults.
Storm displays a beautiful calm affection with all humans and we felt that this role would suit her perfectly.
We feel that Storm is a wonderful role model of a divine temperament for a German Shepherd.
!! Another Australian Champion !!
Raiven gained her final points to earn her Australian Champion title on 17th July 2011 at the North of the Harbour Show at Erskine Park.
Raiven is our very first Finnish Lapphund Champion!

At the Country of Cumberland Show under the Finnish Judge Ms Leila Karkas, Raiven was one of 15 Finnish Lapphund entered - the highest entry for an All Breeds Show in NSW! (other than a Royal)
Raiven was against more seasoned and awarded Lappies, but she was recognized as Best of Breed earning a lovely 20points. What a star!.
